Born in Poland and relocating to New Zealand at the age of 12, Wilka grew up between languages, places, and versions of herself. That in-between space still lives in her music: emotional, restless, and full of release. After releasing music under her given name, Pat Piasta, she stepped into a new era as Wilka, the Polish word for “she-wolf”, reclaiming her roots while standing firmly as a New Zealand artist.Her songs pair intimate storytelling with pulse-driven production, transforming vulnerability into movement. Wilka writes about connection, longing, and self-discovery, wrapping raw emotion in bold beats and shimmering hooks, the kind of dance-pop that lingers long after the lights come up.
